Employment Opportunity: Danish Festival is seeking a part time festival coordinator.  The qualified candidate will exhibit the following skills:  A professional self-motivated individual who is organized, an excellent communicator and a visionary with accounting knowledge and management skills.  No benefits provided.  Danish festival is a 501c3 not for profit organization.  If interested please submit your resume to the Danish Festival office by mail no later than February 10th  (Danish Festival, Inc.  PO Box 211, Greenville, MI 48838) or via email by February 13th at danishfestival@charter.net.  No phone calls please.

Open Directorships: Danish Festival is looking for individuals to fill open Directorships for the 2017 year. Each year, we have Directors who have served their 3 year term, which leave open vacancies. Our Board of Directors consists of 22 working board members who meet for Board meetings 10 months yearly and are a huge part of the planning of each year’s festivities. Spectrum Health United Hospital
is Danish Festival title sponsor for 11th consecutive year.

Greenville, Michigan – For the eleventh consecutive year, Spectrum Health United Hospital will serve as the official title sponsor of the Danish Festival.

“Once again, it is a pleasure to welcome Spectrum Health United Hospital as our title sponsor for the 53rd annual Danish Festival” said Danish Festival Executive Director Pam Jorae. “The hospital is an integral part of this community and the Danish Festival. DANISH FESTIVAL SEEKS POSTER CONTEST SUBMISSIONS FOR 2017

Danish Festival is seeking artists to submit an original poster to celebrate the 2016 festival theme of “The Flea and the Professor”.

Original designs in any medium are acceptable for the contest. The artwork should represent the Hans Christian Andersen story of “The Flea and the Professor” in a creative but realistic interpretation. The artwork must not have been previously reproduced. There is no limit on the number of entries. Each entry must include the artist’s name, address and phone number displayed on the back. The finished artworks should be on paper and no smaller than 12”x 16”’.

All entries must be received by March 25, 2016. The winning artist will receive a $250 cash prize along with having their artwork displayed as the cover of the 2016 Danish Festival booklet.
