Danish Festival Band in Concert

The OFFICIAL DANISH FESTIVAL BAND is a volunteer band made up of area residents from high school age through adults. The band was started in 1972 around a kitchen table of local residents Bob and Ruth Hansen and Les and Vesta Morford. Bob and Les are still actively leading the band during the festival and many other performances throughout the weekend. The Greenville community is very proud of these talented musicians who share their talents for all on Danish Festival weekend!

Hans Christian Andersen Park will be filled with activities
highlighting Hans Christian Andersen. We will host children’s’
games and craft projects. All activities are free of charge.

Please join us for a wonderful family experience during the festival.

A complete schedule of events will be posted in the park to ensure
you don’t miss out on anything. A must-attend for families.

Have a seat and enjoy a wide variety of live entertainment at the Main Stage,
on Grove Street facing Lafayette Street. All performances are open to the public and
are FREE of charge. Acts are scheduled to begin on Friday at 10 a.m. and all day
Saturday except during the Grand Dansk Parade.

The tradition of live music continues with Music in the Park. Women’s Action Network
presents local musicians on stage to entertain MarketPlace shoppers and Food Court diners.
On Friday and Saturday, a wide variety of music is presented from Bluegrass to Jazz and beyond.
On Sunday, Music in the Park will host a special concert of Christian music.

Danish Festival Talent Show

Main Stage Located at Grove Street and Lafayette Street
Danish Festival Saturday| 5:00 p.m.

Singers, dancers, baton twirlers, area entertainers and children of all ages
are invited to take part in the annual Danish Festival Talent Show. Two
categories, Youth and Adult, contestants can win up to $100.  Applications are available at
the Danish Festival Office or on the website under forms.

Teen Dance

Greenville Middle School
Danish Festival Friday | 8:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
(enter in the back of the school)

Friday Night Teen Dance is an event for middle school-age students to go and
have their own Danish Festival experience. A DJ will be provided and snacks and
drinks will be available for purchase. A place to come see your friends and
dance the night away before you go back to school.

$6 | pay at the door
