Doggie Fashion Show

It’s a canine catwalk!
Come join us for the Annual Doggie Fashion Show!
The Danish Festival board is offering you a chance to enter your dog
and win prizes for first, second and third place in either the fashion
show, the talent show or the best look-alike contest between dogs
and owners. You can enter all three categories if you’d like.

Register online at danishfestival@charter.net,
or pick up an application at the Danish Festival office
(second floor of Huntington Bank in Greenville).

There is a $5 application fee.
First, second, and third-place awards will be given for all three categories.

Family Coloring Contest

The Daily News

On Danish Festival Saturday, The Daily News will print a
picture that can be decorated any way you wish. Use your creativity and
imagination — you can use anything and everything to decorate your picture!
All members of the family are encouraged to participate.

Adult (18 and up): First prize is: $40.00  Second prize is: $25.00  Third prize is:  Ribbon

 Young Adult (17 and younger)  First prize is:  $20.00  Second prize is:  Ribbon

Entry deadline is Friday, September 2nd at 5:00pm   Drop off location is:  Danish Festival Office, 2nd floor of Huntington Bank, 203 S. Lafayette St. Greenville, MI 48838 or mail to  PO Box 211  Greenville, MI 48838

Winners will be notified by September 7th, 2016. 1st place winners will be in the 2017 Danish Festival booklet and will become the property of the Danish Festival, Inc.

Lego Masterpiece Building Contest
Danish Festival Friday | 5:00 p.m.

Who: Children ages 3-12
When: Danish Festival Friday
What: Create a Danish-themed Lego masterpiece with your Lego blocks
Where: HCA Park – Bring your creation to show it off.

A $50 Meijer Gift Card
will be awarded as the grand prize
to the creator of the most original
Danish-themed creation.

Danish Festival Photo Contest
ENTRY DEADLINE: First Tuesday in September | 5:00 p.m.

Drop off entries to the Danish Festival Offices at 203 S. Lafayette St.
(inside Huntington Bank building, second floor)

Mail entries to the Danish Festival Offices at
Danish Festival, Inc., P.O. Box 211, Greenville, MI 48838

Contest Rules:
• Each photo must be identified on the back with your name, age (if 18 or younger), address and phone number
• Photos may not be enlarged, matted or framed. Size must be 3×5, 5×7 or 8×10
• Photos may not be digitally enhanced
• Photos may not contain a date/time stamp
• Entries must express the spirit of the Danish Festival, a family-oriented celebration of the community’s Danish heritage
• Please limit photo submissions to three per person

Winners will be notified by the Danish Festival office by the first Wednesday in
September, all decisions are final. Danish Festival will not be responsible for lost entries.
Photographs, usage and rights to the images become the property of the Danish Festival and
will not be returned. Winning entries may be used in the next year’s Danish Festival booklet
and may be displayed at Danish Festival events and advertising. Contest is open to all
amateur photographers. Danish Festival directors and staff are excluded from the contest.

Danish Festival Poster Contest
ENTRY DEADLINE: Third Friday in March | 5:00 p.m.
Prize: $250

The poster will be used prior to, during, and after the festival.
Additionally, it will be used as our annual theme–included on shirts, advertising, applications, etc.

“Princess and the Pea” Bed Race
Danish Festival Friday | 6:30 p.m.
Corner of Barry and Cass streets

Entry fee is $10 per team. Four of them run at a time as one rides.
The positions are rotated as the contestants complete easy tasks along the obstacle course.
We supply the bed, you supply the fun! The obstacle course this year will consist of making the bed, brushing teeth, reading a bedtime story and more. This is always a fun and entertaining event that takes place right after the Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tale Parade. The crowd chooses the winner, so come out and cheer on your favorite team!

Danish Festival Talent Show

Main Stage Located at Grove Street and Lafayette Street
Danish Festival Saturday| 5:00 p.m.

Singers, dancers, baton twirlers, area entertainers and children of all ages
are invited to take part in the annual Danish Festival Talent Show. Two
categories, Youth and Adult, contestants can win up to $100.  Applications are available at
the Danish Festival Office or on the website under forms.

Danish Festival Ugly Duckling Race
Danish Festival Sunday | 5:30 p.m.
Jackson’s Landing

One of the best Danish Festival traditions!
Watching all those cute, plastic ducklings float down the
Flat River is quite a sight! This is a fun activity for the whole family.
Pick your family duckling number and see if that is the one the
Danish Festival Queen catches at the finish line.
Ducks will be on sale at the Family Fun Day and before the event.
